The Bridge Fund
Annual report / Website
The annual is based around the Buddhist concept of Terma: hidden treasures in the sacred teachings meant to be discovered when they are needed most. The book initially appears to be a simple 2-color text narrative, but once one tears the perforated signatures it reveals beautiful 4-color imagery of the people, places and results of The Bridge Fund’s work.
The Bridge Fund’s web site highlights the many programs and stories associated with the non-profit in an accessible and easy-to-peruse manner, despite the large amount information included on the site. The site extends the annual report’s Terma concept by placing live links in the site’s text that, when clicked, reveal additional informative imagery.
As with the annual report, the web site uses intimate storytelling, rather than lists of accomplishments or financials, to connect with potential donors and volunteers.
The Bridge Fund is a non-profit resource whose mission is to promote sustainable economic development, education advancement, cultural heritage preservation and environmental conservation on the Tibetan plateau. Through in-depth research, Volume located the organization's most compelling success stories and shaped them to better engage potential donors and other interested parties.
The annual report t benefits the Tibetan people directly by commissioning Tibetan artisans to fabricate the handmade annual covers and yak-bone letter openers.
